Jane Cooke’s Jazz started ‘cooking’ in a jazz quintet and the formation of a duo with Rob seemed a natural, flexible progression. Jane is classically trained, (Grade 8 with distinction), and performed as a mezzo soprano in classical and choral concerts. She moved on to singing jazz in London and overseas residencies and to fronting functions bands, currently including The Dance Effect, which the duo performs with. Her first true love is jazz, which best suits her voice and allows her to connect with an audience. She’s happiest when she’s making listeners feel happy!
